ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
"If there is something existing in the world that strikes me as being significant or relevant to an idea, I will come to understand that material as having found me. I have no hesitation in welcoming such beliefs as the perception of the artist and artist as psychic, not in the historical sense of these operations, but more like a working methodology. Consequently, my sculptures have no specific material alliance, but rather an interest in the relationships found by accumulating and composing them. Recently, I went to a stretch of beach and brought back an old, weathered steel transmission that has since been introduced in the form of a decaying corpse into my new sculpture Death Cab for Cutie."
